What are Sneak peeks?

“3 AM and I’m still awake…”

This is where I relate to all the Taylor Swift songs about being awake at 2 or 3 in the morning- in the best and most exciting way possible.

To get to the point, wedding day sneak peeks are a MUST for me and how I work. After over 50 weddings, there has not been a single time where I haven’t sent a 2 AM email full of edits from the wedding day. I do this for a few reasons, and for me being not great at formatting these kinds of posts- I’m just going to list out why I am on my computer at midnight after 8+ hours photographing a wedding.

  1. When I get home, I need to keep the photos safe. One way to protect the images are to have them backed up in multiple places. I keep them on my memory cards but by uploading them to both of my hard drives, I then have at least three copies of ALL of your wedding images. #safety

  2. Since I’m already on my computer at this point, the images are uploaded, I personally want to see how they look on a bigger screen than my camera.

  3. Same day sneak peeks allow you to have high-quality imagery to share with friends/family that weren’t able to make it in person.

  4. I love social media and know I would want to post something right away, so I like to give that ability to my clients.

Below is about half of what I sent to Phoebe and Jordan on the night of their wedding. It makes me so happy to see them post and for their families to already have some high quality photos to share and save. Full wedding galleries tend to be anywhere between 450-750 images which take about 4-6 weeks for me to completely edit through and deliver. Same night sneak peeks are exciting for me to share because I know the waiting game is not fun, so hopefully the images you get on the night of give you something fun to have while you wait for the full gallery!!
